In more melancholy moments I sometimes consider which of my five senses, if I had to give up one, would I surrender. Because of music and its power, both friend and foe, I would not want to yield the sense of hearing.
Im erased my other comment because I mistakenly asked if this was a HARRY Chapin lyric."Dah!My mind backtracked until I recalled that you were absolutely correct.I guess I am just getting W.O.L.D.
Thanks for stopping by.

Oh Yeah!!! Damn well true!!! Music is the life blood of my soul.
Funny thing is, when I hear a sad song and get low, I sort of enjoy it. Catharsis, I suppose.
So even when music is an "enemy," it's being a friend.
great post, I feel the same way, lately I've been craving some Joni Mitchell tunes.

And it will be my last.
Music of the future,
And music of the past.»

Best wishes!
